Our approach

Practical projects, plain learning and accountable review.

We start with a stated purpose and an honest account of the stage reached. Each project record explains the need, the proposed work, who has accepted responsibility, what resources are known and what must happen next.

Four commitments

  • Show the stage. A proposal is not called a pilot, and a pilot is not called operating, without the supporting record.
  • Name the source. Summaries are attributed, dated and linked to the original where it is public.
  • Report fairly. Results state their period, unit, method and limits. Setbacks are published too.
  • Correct openly. Anyone can report an error, and substantive changes are dated.

Starting small

A first pilot should follow real readiness, need, expertise and resources. This website does not choose a physical project on behalf of its future operators.
