Origins and values

Where the proposals came from, and the values people have brought to them.

The programme grew out of a planning conversation in September 2026 and the writing around it. That material discusses creation care, stewardship, moral responsibility, faith, prayer and spiritual wellbeing. We keep those foundations visible and attribute them to the people who wrote them.

Whose words are these

Darren proposed much of the language, and Rohan contributed further material. Where Rohan's contributions are used, this page will say so. An individual's expression of faith is not silently turned into an organisational creed. Such language is described here as the author's, with a short explanation of the idea behind it.

Terms you may meet

  • Covenant Economics: an approach to local trade built on honest, kept commitments.
  • Edenic Restoration: the idea of caring for land and community as a responsibility of stewardship.
  • Natural law and divine order: philosophical and religious ideas in the sources, offered as reflections and not as legal claims.

Using these words does not give this website, any private association or any statement legal powers, and it does not change anyone's legal status.

Values in practice

  • Practical, honest work that can be examined.
  • Freedom of conscience, personal dignity and the right to ask questions.
  • Different ways to contribute: skilled work, care, knowledge, organisation, resources and time.
  • Task participation, mailing-list consent, publicity consent and political declarations are kept separate.

You can take part in a food, learning or land-care activity without agreeing with every spiritual interpretation in the source material.
