Properties and facilities

Property concepts, what a place needs to be suitable, and how to start a private conversation about land or a facility.

The current concept

The only property idea at present is a generic concept: a place where selected restoration activities could be developed with a clear purpose and agreed rules. No property has been acquired or opened, and no site is listed.

When a property is listed

A public property record is appropriate only when the owner or authorised operator has agreed to the description and how much of the location is shown. Unconfirmed or sensitive places are shown by broad region only.

  • Purpose
  • Proposed uses
  • Present stage
  • Public location precision
  • Ownership or use basis, where appropriate
  • Facilities actually available
  • Access arrangements
  • Resource needs
  • Environmental considerations
  • Contact
  • Current rules

Different people, different arrangements

Each of these has its own arrangements, which have to be defined for each activity. A tick-box on a website cannot settle land-use, housing or participation questions.
